We know for many families this time of the year can be expensive but that doesn’t mean saving has to be put on the back burner. There are four tools in particular on Beanstalk that can help make putting money away manageable and successful at this time of the year.

With Beanstalk, you can earn up to 20% cashback on your online purchases at over 2,000 retailers all automatically deposited into your children’s Beanstalk accounts. Friends and family that you’ve invited to save for your children can also earn cashback for your kids too.

Share your child’s unique gift link
If you’re struggling with gift ideas for the kids when friends and family ask and would rather not receive unwanted toys then the Gift Links tool is a great alternative.
Your children each have their own unique gift link that you can copy from the app and share. Using the link family and friends can easily send a financial gift from as little as £10 to top up your child’s Beanstalk account. They can also send a message along with the contribution so you know exactly who has sent it.

Link grandparents (and others) to your child’s account
Our unique Invite tool lets you link family and friends to your child’s Junior ISA so they can contribute whenever and however they want directly from their own Beanstalk app. It’s a really popular tool for grandparents, who we know often really want to help their grandchildren out.
Linked donors can use all the tools on the app including earning cashback and Round Ups to save for your children. You can also decide whether to give donors ‘Full View’ access so they can see the same level of account detail as you.

Round up your spare change
Round ups are a quick and easy way of saving little and often. Simply by rounding up your everyday purchases to the nearest £, you could be putting away on average £5 a week, which can really add up over the lifetime of your child’s Beanstalk Junior ISA or your adult ISA.
You can link the accounts you spend with using our Open Banking integration on the app and then set it to round up either manually or automatically, depending on how much control you want (this is something that can be changed at any time).
