To open a junior ISA just follow the simple steps below.
JISA steps
- Download the app - the first step is to download the free Beanstalk app on your mobile phone from either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Set up your login details - next enter your email address and click the link in the confirmation email to set up your login details.
- Create your profile - you do this by entering your name, email and home address.

- Add your child - tell us who you are saving for by adding your child’s details, including their name and date of birth.
- Apply for an account - to complete the process, just follow the simple steps to apply for a Junior ISA, setting how you would like your child’s savings invested, whether you would like to make an up-front contribution and whether you have an existing account to transfer.
- Start saving - to make your first contribution, you can send a one-off top up in a number of ways or set up a regular monthly contribution.
That’s it! You can now take advantage of all the tools on offer to help grow your child’s Beanstalk account for their future. If you have more than one child, just repeat the process to set up their account.
Beanstalk makes it really easy for grandparents and other family / friends to contribute to your child too. Just use our unique invite tool to send them an email invite and if they accept, they will be linked to your child’s account and can send contributions directly from their app.
