Yes, you can transfer a cash ISA into a stocks & shares ISA and vice versa. Our process is the same although a transfer of a cash ISA / JISA is usually quicker than for a stocks & shares account.

If your child already has a Child Trust Fund and you want to open a Junior ISA, HMRC rules require it to be transferred to the Junior ISA. Transferring is really simple: when you apply for a Beanstalk account, we will ask you if you have an existing account to transfer. We need a few details from you and then we take care of the rest

Yes. Just complete our ISA transfer form and specify that you want to make a partial transfer. We take care of the rest.

No, you cannot transfer the ownership of an account to another person. This is because the tax benefits you get from an ISA are for individuals, so can’t be transferred or shared. To give the money in an ISA to another person, you need to withdraw it from the ISA.
Funds in a Junior ISA belong to the child and can only be withdrawn by them once turn 18 at which point the Junior ISA becomes a regular adult ISA. The only exception to this is in the sad case of a child’s death or terminal illness.
